Modern (and smart) fabrics are designed to maximise characteristics such as lightness, breathability, waterproofing or their reaction to heat or light. They are manufactured using microfibres.
Our smart fabrics include polyester mesh, polyester birdseye mesh and polyester velvet used for upholstery and evening wear.
Polyester Mesh
The world of fashion has seen the popularity of mesh garments soar within the last few years. But what exactly is mesh – and, more importantly, why are high-street stores and designers alike fawning over it?
This sheer, soft fabric with tons of tiny holes has been loosely woven or knitted to create this signature look and structure. Mesh is commonly used for athleticwear. The fabric is breathable and can wick moisture away.
It is also water repellent. We supply 80gsm mesh fabric. Let your imagination run wild with this modern fabric.

Polyester Birdseye Mesh
Bring out your inner athlete with fashion-forward birds eye mesh! A brilliant example of modern fabric, that can be transformed into trendy tennis shirts, puckered polos, and athletic cropped tops. Tennis dresses can also be an option.
For ease in breathability, you might also want to leave parts of your finished garment unlined. That said, this material stretches slightly in the weft and has a weight of 110gsm.

Polyester Velvet
This fabric is a seductively lustrous material with a featherlike softness and gorgeous sheen. It offers great durability, insulation and is wrinkle resistant. Create evening gowns, blazers and skirts of sleek elegance with our alluring collection of polyester velvet.
Velvet upholstery is also a popular trend. It feels luxurious, but not very extravagant. It works in contemporary and traditional interiors and can feel glamorous and modern all at once.
